Our digital process is 100% HIPAA compliant.
Every file is 128-bit encrypted. All file transfers use secure
socket layers, which is the most secure internet connection available.
- What dictation type do you recommend?
We recommend handheld digital voice recorders (DVR) like the ones
made by Olympus. Handheld digital voice recorders have unlimited
mobility and have superior audio quality. Phone based dictation
is also available. Please contact us for pricing specifics.
- How do I submit my dictation?
Simply place your digital voice recorder on its cradle attached
to your computer. The file transfer process takes just a few minutes,
depending on the size of your files. Your dictated audio files
will automatically be sent to our server through a secure connection.
All files uploaded to our server are 128-bit encrypted providing
you the most secure method available to transfer your dictated
information.
- How do I receive my transcription?
Through our web based file transfer platform. A folder is setup
on your desktop mapped to our server. Simply double click on the
folder and you will have instant access to all your transcribed
files.
- What kind of software do I need?
- Can I use my normals or standards?
We will be happy to incorporate any normals or standards you may
routinely use in your dictation.
- Are my documents kept confidential?
GTR's transcription services are highly confidential. We will
be pleased to provide you with a statement of confidentiality
that will be signed and dated at your request.
- Can you accommodate custom formatting needs?
Any formatting needs you may have, including letterhead, templates,
forms, etc., can be customized to meet your medical
document specifications.
- What formats can I receive my completed
transcription in?
Your files can be transcribed and returned to you in MS Word 2000,
WordPerfect, and .txt files.
- Is your process compatible with Electronic
Medical Records (EMR) systems?
The Global Transcription Resources process is compatible with
most EMR systems. Our technical team will be happy to discuss
your exact requirements.
